Acadia Crime Stoppers Seeks Man Who Won’t Return Money

Three-thousand dollars is the amount of money that a homeowner in Rayne paid to an Abbeville man to get work started on their home.

The problem? The homeowner then learns that the man is not insured.

Acadia Parish Crime Stoppers officials say they are looking for 50-year-old Clavern Adams for felony contractor fraud.

When the homeowner told Adams he knew he didn't have insurance, Adams left the job and has not returned the man's money.
