Louisiana Ragin' Cajun outfielder Aleah Craighton was honered by the Sun Belt Conference on Tuesday, being named the league's Player of the Week.

A junior, this marks the third time that Craighton has won the award during her career, her third award in the last three years.

A graduate of Dutchtown High School in Prairieville, Louisiana, Craighton went 5-for-8 (.625) last weekend in the series against Troy, including 3 home runs, 7 runs scored, 6 runs batted in, and 14 total bases.

A Second-Team NFCA All-American a season ago, Craighton is currently hitting a .333 with 10 homers and 28 RBI's.

Louisiana has now claimed nine weekly awards total from the Sun Belt in 2017, including three by DJ Sanders, and one apiece by Kelli Martinez, Lexie Comeaux, Daniella Chavez, Craighton, Alex Stewart, and Alyssa Denham.

The Cajuns have claimed 85 player of the week honors since the Sun Belt Conference began handing out the honor in 2000.
