A crash yesterday takes the life of Glenmora woman. On highway 112, Dorothy Fee was driving south when she suddenly crossed the center line for unknown reasons and exited the roadway.

She began to ride into a ditch on the other side of the road when she hit a raised up drive way. Fee was then ejected from the vehicle due to the sudden stop and she was not wearing a seat belt.

A toxicology sample has been submitted for analysis. The crash remains under investigation.

The Louisiana State Troopers that responded to the scene want to remind  everyone to wear seat belts, not only because it is a law, but because the safest place during a car accident is usually inside the car itself.

Next week marks the beginning of the nationwide “Click it or Ticket” campaign and seat belt enforcement will be high.
