The following is list of the arrests for St. Mary Parish for the July 4th weekend:

Ronald L. Johnson, 52, Morgan City Motel Room 222, Morgan City, LA was arrested on July 2, 2015 at 7:40 am for 2 counts of aggravated battery. Deputies responded to complaint of an aggravated battery that occurred at a business on Highway 182 in Amelia. Upon arrival, a deputy learned that Johnson brandished a knife and made threats towards two male subjects after being terminated from the job. Another deputy located Johnson walking on Highway 182 and detained him. The deputy located a knife on Johnson’s person. The knife was positively identified as the weapon Johnson showed when he made the verbal threats. The deputy transported Johnson to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Corey Picard, 22, 709 Magnolia Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on July 2, 2015 at 11:13 am on a warrant for simple assault. A deputy located Picard at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse in Franklin on the warrant. In January, deputies took statements indicating that Picard verbally threatened a female victim. The deputy transported Picard to the parish jail for booking. Picard was released on a summons to appear on court on October 14, 2015.

Ke’von Loston, 18, 417 Lockette Road #2, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on July 2, 2015 at 12:24 pm on a warrant for theft. A detective received information that Loston stole a four wheeler. While working the case, the detective learned that Loston posed as a potential buyer and contacted the victim who had listed the vehicle for sale on Craigslist. Loston claimed that he wanted to test drive the vehicle and met the victim on Penn Road in the Jeanerette area. Loston then stole the vehicle, driving the four wheeler from the location. The detective obtained a warrant for his arrest and located him at his residence. Loston was transported to the parish jail for booking. Loston was released after posting $1,000 bond.

Mitchell Belanger, Jr., 49, no address, was arrested on July 2, 2015 at 3:06 pm for vagrancy. A deputy responded to a report of a suspicious person on Highway 317 in the Centerville area. The deputy made contact with Belanger who had been sleeping under the Highway 90 overpass. The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office had received previous complaints regarding Belanger staying in the area. The deputy asked Belanger if he would be willing to seek help by going to a shelter. Belanger refused aid and refused to leave the location. Belanger was booked into the parish jail and later released on a summons to appear in court on October 14, 2015.

Dayjah Murray, 19, 107 Mount Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on July 2, 2015 at 4:50 pm for theft. A deputy responded to a business in Bayou Vista in reference to a complaint of theft by an employee. The deputy learned that Murray admitted to store personnel that she stole items from the store. The deputy released Murray on a summons to appear in court on October 14, 2015.

Willi J. Otis, 71, 518 Ralph Darden Memorial Parkway, was arrested on July 2, 2015 at 8:29pm for maximum speed limit and resisting a police officer with force or violence. A deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding on Ralph Darden Memorial Parkway. During the traffic stop, the driver who had exited the vehicle, ran back to the car and drove away from the location. The deputy followed the vehicle to a residence at 518 Ralph Darden Memorial Parkway and again made contact with the driver, who was identified as Otis. Otis began yelling and repeatedly approached the deputy in an aggressive manner. As the deputy worked to detain Otis, he became combative. With the assistance of additional deputies and Chitimacha Police, Otis was taken into custody. Following the  investigation, the deputy released Otis on a summons to appear in court on October 14, 2015.

Trey V. Jordan, 20, 115 Ronald Lane, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on July 3, 2015 at 7:45 am on a warrant for theft of a motor vehicle. A detective received information that Jordan stole a four wheeler. While working the case, the detective learned that Jordan posed as a potential buyer and contacted the victim who had listed the vehicle for sale on Craigslist. Jordan claimed that he wanted to test drive the vehicle and met the victim on Desonier Road in the Jeanerette area. Jordan then stole the vehicle, driving the four wheeler away from the location. The detective obtained a warrant for Jordan’s arrest and located him at a residence on Sorrel Railroad Row Road. Jordan was transported to the parish jail for booking. Jordan was released after posting $3,000 bond.

Lisa A. Contreras, 43, 144 South Verrett Road, Amelia, LA was arrested on July 3, 2015 at 8:55 am for violation of the parish leash law. A deputy responded to an animal complaint on South Verrett Road. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that two dogs belonging to Contreras got out of their yard and were running loose. The deputy released Contreras on a summons to appear in court on October 14, 2015.

Alecia Sylvester, 26, 1414 James Street, Siracusa, LA was arrested on July 3, 2015 at 2:54 pm for disturbing the peace (fighting).

Tina Clark, 25, 634 Terrebonne Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on July 3, 2015 at 2:54 pm for disturbing the peace (fighting). A deputy responding to a report of a disturbance on James Street observed two female subjects fighting. Both subjects, identified as Sylvester and Clark, transported to the parish jail for booking. Sylvester was released on a $250 bond. Clark was released on a summons to appear in court on October 14, 2015.

Kimberly R. Harris, 43, 428 ½ Levee Road, Morgan City, LA was arrested on July 3, 2015 at 5:52 pm for theft of goods. A deputy responded to a report of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store personnel that Harris was seen concealing items on her purse before attempting to leave the store without paying for the goods. The deputy released Harris on summons to appear in court on October 14, 2015.

Myrtle Naquin, 52, 115 Shirley’s Lane, Centerville, LA was arrested on July 4, 2015 at 8:49 am on a warrant for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of probation. A deputy made contact with Naquin at her residence and learned of the active warrant for her arrest. The deputy transported Naquin to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Christina L. Pitre, 39, 409 First Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on July 4, 2015 at 3:23 pm for theft of goods, misrepresentation during booking, and on a warrant from Lafourche Parish for issuing worthless checks. A deputy responding to a report of theft at a store in Bayou Vista located the suspect in the crime in a vehicle parked in another store parking lot. The deputy made contact with the driver, who identified herself using a false name. The deputy observed the stolen items inside the vehicle. Following the investigation, the deputy transported the subject to the parish jail for booking. During booking, a jailer determined that the subject’s true identity was Christina Pitre. The jailer also located the active warrant for her arrest from Lafourche Parish. Pitre was released after posting $1,750 bond.

Lang Van Lee, 73, 610 Woodshire Street, Houma, LA was arrested on July 5, 2015 at 12:39 am for two counts simple battery and illegal possession of stolen things. A deputy responded to a complaint of a subject taking license plates from vehicles in the parking lot of a business on Lake Palourde Road in Amelia. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Lee grabbed and pushed a male and female victim when they confronted him about the theft. The deputy also located two stolen license plates in Lee’s possession. The deputy transported Lee to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $1,500.
