It's like bro-country, EDM and hip-hop all decided to have a musical baby.

'Turn Up On The Weekend' is the type of song that you will either love or hate after the first listen. But regardless of how you feel about it, get ready to hear it at every "lituation" over the next few months.

The odd, yet catchy track is currently in the #1 spot on the Spotify United States Viral 50 list and isn't showing any signs of slowing down. The track is put together by Branchez, who is one of my favorite producers and features Big Wet—a name that seems like it was made for keg stands and all night ragers.

The hook alone speaks to a lifestyle that I know many people can get down with.

“Cooler full of cold ones / Rusted out Chevy / Steaks over charcoal / Game on the TV,” Big Wet sings. “I ain’t got a swimsuit / Sure as hell gonna jump in / Take another shot of Cuervo / Turn up on the weekend.”

It's pretty tough to disagree with any of those things, which is why you're pretty much destined to hear this blaring from whatever aux cord speaker device is playing at upcoming house parties, tailgates, or millennial gatherings near you.

Even if you hate the song, the video itself is entertaining enough to get you through the track and literally looks like a cross between Kenny Powers and Napoleon Dynamite.

But is the song real? And if so, what genre would it fall under? Bro-country? EDM? Hip-hop? Pop Country? Comedy?

I'm interested to hear what you think of it, so drop me a comment below while I go play this song for the 17th time in a row.
