Broussard Man Dies After Car Is Submerged

St. Martin Parish deputies were called out to Duchamp Road yesterday after a car submerged upside down in water was reported to them.

Deputies say 55-year-old Craig Huval's car left the roadway, hit the end of the bridge causing the car to flip over and get stuck under the water.

Weather is not suspected to be a factor in the crash.

Huval was pronounced dead at the scene.
