Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun men’s basketball team returns to the hardwood on Saturday evening, when coach Bob Marlin’s squad plays host to the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs in non-conference action.

The game will be the back end of a day/night/women’s/men’s doubleheader, with the UL women facing Southern University (New Orleans) in the first game.

The women’s game is scheduled to tipoff at 5 o’clock at the Cajundome, with the men getting underway at approximately 7:15 pm.

The men’s game will serve as the second game of a short two-game homestand for Louisiana, who hits the road on Wednesday, to face Georgia.

The Cajuns, who beat Loyola (New Orleans), 94-60, on Wednesday night, has won 7-straight, and are 7-2 on the young season.

Louisiana is outscoring the opposition, 90.0/71.4, and outshooting them, 50%/44%, while also holding down a 41.4/30.0 rebound advantage.

The Cajuns are paced by junior guard Frank Bartley, who is averaging 19.2 points and 3.6 rebounds, and junior forward Bryce Washington, who is averaging 14.9 points, to go along with 11.2 rebounds.

Louisiana Tech defeated Alcorn St., 98-65, on Monday night, to improve to 5-3 on the season.

The Bulldogs are outscoring opponents, 76.9/64.2, while outshooting them, 45%/39%, and holding down a 39.0/35.4 rebounding edge.

Louisiana Tech is led by senior forward Erik McCree, who is averaging 17.0 points and 8.9 rebounds-per-game, and junior guard Jacobi Boykins, who is at 13.8 and 3.4, respectively.,
