Cajuns Travel To Take On Little Rock – Game Preview
Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun men’s basketball team returns to the hardwood on Thursday, when coach Bob Marlin’s squad travels to Little Rock, Arkansas to take on the Little Rock Trojans in a Sun Belt Conference match-up.
The game will be the backend of a day/night, women’s/men’s doubleheader, with the UL women taking on Appalachian St. at 5 o’clock.
Tipoff time for the men’s game is set for 7:15 pm, or 35 minutes following the completion of the women’s game, at the Cajundome.

Louisiana, who defeated Appalachian St., 79-58, last Saturday, is 5-5, overall, and 1-1 in league play, while Little Rock, who beat Troy last Saturday, 67-61, is currently 12-1, and 2-0, respectively.
The Cajuns are outscoring the opposition, 84.3/78.1, and outshooting them from the floor, 45%/44.7%, while also holding down a 42.9/35.7 rebound advantage.
Louisiana is led by senior forward Shawn Long, who is averaging 18.2 points, to go along with 12.2 rebounds-per-game, and senior guard Kasey Shepherd, who is averaging 11.7 points and 2.2 rebounds a contest.
Little Rock is outscoring the opposition, 69.0/55.6, and outshooting opponents from the floor, 44%/37%, while being slightly outrebounded, 34.8/34.2.
The Trojans are paced by junior guard Marcus Johnson, Jr., who is scoring 14.8 points, while pulling down 2.3 rebounds-per-game.
