Camille Bob aka ‘Lil Bob’ of Lil Bob & the Lollipops Dead at 77

Sad news to report as Camille Bob, aka Little Bob or Lil Bob, has passed away at the age of 77. There is little known right now as to the cause of death, only that he died yesterday (July 6).

The Arnaudville, Louisiana native was born on November 7, 1937 and began his musical career in the mid-1950s. He formed his own band, the Lollipops, around 1957 and enjoyed many years as one of the area's premiere dance hall bands.

Most folks know Lil Bob & the Lollipops for their 1965 hits "I Got Loaded" and "Nobody But You".

From the 1960s to the mid 2000s, Lil Bob & the Lollipops played just about every dancehall in southeast Texas and Louisiana.
