Car Catches Fire In Downtown Breaux Bridge

The Breaux Bridge Police Department is reporting a car caught on fire this afternoon near the intersection of Railroad and Bridge Streets.

According to police spokesman Terry Latiolais, no one was injured when a mechanical malfunction caused the vehicle to catch on fire.

As of 4:30 p.m, Breaux Bridge Police and the Breaux Bridge Fire Department were clearing the streets of the vehicle and any debris left by the fire.
