There has been another parking garage incident in the New Orleans Central Business District. Witnesses said an SUV drove through a concrete wall and fell approximately four stories to the street below on Sunday afternoon (July 15).

Fortunately, the lone occupant of the vehicle did not appear to be seriously injured. However, he was taken by first responders to a local hospital. Witnesses in the area said the vehicle fell to the street and landed on its roof. According to a report on NOLA.com, a group of passersby was able to roll the vehicle on to its wheels and help the driver exit the vehicle. The driver of the SUV has not been identified.

The incident which occurred near the corner of Girod and O'Keefe Streets remains under investigation. Three years ago a similar incident happened at another CBD parking tower. In that incident, the driver was killed.
