Detectives Investigating Homicide In New Iberia

Iberia Parish Sheriff Louis Ackal's Office reports they are investigating a shooting that happened early this morning on Anderson Street.

Deputies say two people were shot.

One victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other victim was taken to an area hospial for treatment.

Detectives say they were called out to the 400 block of Anderson Street this morning to find the two victims in a white Lincoln Towncar.
