First Glimpse At Two UL Softball Transfers – VIDEO

The Louisiana Ragin' Cajun softball team recently added three mid-semester transfers that are expected to make an immediate impact in 2018.

Joining Louisiana will be outfielder Brittany Rodriguez, a two-time All-Southland Conference selection while at Lamar, along with infielder Brittany Holland, a first-team junior college All-American at Central Arizona College, and Infielder Kynadi Tipler, an all-state and all-conference performer for Gulf Coast State College.

I was able to find video on two of the transfers; Holland and Tipler, to give you a glimpse of what skill-sets those players might bring to the table in 2018.

Holland who played one season at Central Arizona College, was named an NJCAA first team All-American following the 2017 season, after hitting a .471, to go along with 15 home runs and 81 runs batted in.

A native of Gilbert, Arizona, Holland will join Louisiana in time for the 2018 season, and will have three seasons of eligibility remaining with the Cajuns.

Holland's father, Brad, who is currently a scout in the Philadelphia Phillies organization, played college baseball at McNeese St. under Tony Robichaux.

Holland can play shortstop, third base, and second base.

Everything that I hear is that she's a good defensive player with a power bat, and one of those "can't miss" talents.

Offensively, Holland hits with an open stance, and looks to generate power from her hips and lower half.

A native of Hoover, Ala., and a Spain Park High School product, Tipler transfers to Louisiana as a sophomore with three years of eligibility remaining.

Tipler hit .442 with 10 home runs and 71 RBI in her collegiate debut last spring.

She can play first or third, and provides the Cajuns with depth, versatility, and another power bat.

Despite losing four players from last year's roster, including two All-Americans, the Cajuns are going to have a talented bunch again in 2018, and the transfers look as though they're really going to help.
