A former LSU starting offensive lineman has found a new home.

Maea Teuhema, a two-year starter on the Tigers’ offensive line, who was suspended by LSU earlier in the month, is transferring to Southeastern Louisiana.

A native of Texas, Teuhema was named a true freshman All-American by ESPN.com in 2015, after playing in all 12 games, including 11 starts, all at left guard.

The 6-foot-5, 315-pound Teuhema played left guard, right guard, and right tackle last season for the Tigers, ending his career at LSU with 21 starts in only two years.

The 20-year old Teuhema was projected to start at guard for LSU in 2017.

Teuhema, who joins his brother, Sione Teuhema, an All-Southland Conference honoree on the roster, will be eligible for the Lions' opening game against the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns on Saturday, September 2.
