If you are looking to take a hunting safety class, the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office wants you to take one on them!

They are now accepting registration for Hunter Education Classes which will be held the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office Training Academy located at 1815 Terrace Hwy., St. Martinville, LA. You have two sessions in which to choose between:

Session 1-Tuesday September 9th, Wednesday September 10th, and Thursday September 11th, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (Students must attend all three days)

Session 2-Saturday, September 27, 2014 from 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., and Sunday September 28, 2014 from 8:00 a.m. until approximately 12:00 p.m. (Students must attend both days)

You have to be 10 years of age and older to be able to attend one of these free sessions. For students 16 years of age and under must have an adult with them to take the course.

For those attending class, lunch will be provided.
