If you're a senior citizen in St. Landry Parish, then you have a lunch date for Wednesday.

The Triad Program will be hosted at Sacred Heart Church Hall in Port Barre this Wednesday, June 6 with lunch and prizes.

St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz says the goal of the program is to advise seniors about the latest scams and fraudulent activities that they need to be aware of for their safety.

Guidroz says this program is an agreement between the area law enforcement agencies to help protect senior citizens by arming them with information and education.

The doors open at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning. There will be door prizes, live music, information provided by guest speakers and lunch at noon.

The Sacred Heart Church Hall is at 407 Saizon Street in Port Barre.
