BATON ROUGE – Today, Governor Bobby Jindal released the following statement regarding last night’s election results:

Governor Jindal said, “Last night was an outright rejection of President Obama’s policies. The results are a rejection of what President Obama and big government liberals stand for.

“It’s a rejection of progressivism, a rejection of big government taking over the lives of Americans, and a rejection of Obamacare and how it has lowered the quality of health care and increased the cost of services.

“Now it’s time to actually do something with this newfound power. This is our moment. The American people have given us an opportunity. We have squandered the opportunity before when we’ve been in power.

“Let’s go show the American people what conservative values are about and how we can grow our economy, replace Obamacare, and fix the problems created by President Obama.

“We need to challenge the President to get with the program. We need to give him the opportunity to do something right for a change.”
