HOUSTON (AP) — A suburban Houston man and a man from New Orleans each face a minimum of more than 100 years in federal prison after convicted of multiple robbery and firearms charges related to a series of violent robberies in Houston.

Federal prosecutors said Friday 33-year-old Clarence Buck, of Humble, and 24-year-old Kendall Allen, of New Orleans, were part of a ring that robbed nearly $1 million in cell phones and jewelry during a November 2012 spree.

Prosecutors say Buck, convicted on 14 counts, assembled the crews, sold the stolen items and distributed the proceeds to crew members. Evidence showed Allen, named in 11 counts, was armed with an assault rifle in at least two holdups.

Their sentencing is set for November.

At least nine others in the ring earlier pleaded guilty.
