The only arrest made so far in the case of missing Jacqueline "Daisy Lynn Landry" has led to an indictment.

A grand jury has indicted 22-year-old Malik Davis, of Lafayette, for  the second-degree murder of Landry--which authorities say occurred on May 24.

Our news partners at KATC reported Daisy Lynn's family and friends are still searching for the Lafayette teen, who was last seen on May 23.

If convicted, Davis faces a mandatory sentence of life in prison with no chance of probation, parole or suspension of sentence.

There have been no reports of how Davis, who was arrested on May 31, was connected to Daisy Lynn, or why law enforcement booked davis in the first place.
