Two underclassmen will be returning to the LSU football team in 2018.

Offensive guard Jacob Brumfield and safety John Battle announced on Monday that they would return in 2018, after entertaining thoughts of entering the NFL Draft.

A native of Baton Rouge, Brumfield started all 13 games at left guard, helping the Tigers to a 9-4 record.

Brumfield, who will be a senior next season, will be one of two returning starters on the offensive line.

Scheduled to be a fifth-year senior in 2018, Battle started 12 games in 2017, finishing with 61 tackles, to go along with one interception and a half-sack. Battle will return with Grant Delpit who started 10 games at free safety.

LSU will have to replace Donte Jackson and Kevin Toliver at cornerback.

LSU underclassmen that have declared for the 2018 NFL Draft include cornerbacks Donte Jackson and Kevin Toliver, right tackle Toby Weathersby, center Will Clapp, running back Derrius Guice, and linebacker Arden Key to the draft.
