Jersey Shore's Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino has been sentenced to eight months in jail today. The 36 year old also got sentenced to two years of supervised release for his tax evasion charge, 500 hours of community service, and $123,913 in restitution, which was already paid. He also got a $10, 000 fine which must be paid in 30 days. He was charged with failing to pay taxes on $8.9 million from 2010 - 2012.

Sorrentino was supported in court today by his entire 'Jersey Shore' cast mates, and his fiance, Lauren Pesce.

According to People Magazine 'Sorrentino and his brother Marc were initially indicted in September 2014 for tax offenses and conspiring to defraud the United States after allegedly failing to properly pay taxes on $8.9 million in income from 2010 to 2012'. His brother received a sentence of two years in prison today, as well.

Sorrentino was very open about his legal problems on the reboot of the popular MTV television show 'Jersey Shore Family Reunion'. He needed permission from a judge to travel to film the shows this year in Miami and Las Vegas.
