Lafayette Business Destroyed By Fire

Lafayette Fire Department Spokesman Alton Trahan says firefighters were called out to Belle Aime around 6 o'clock this morning after the business was on fire.

Fire investigators are still working to determine the cause of the blaze, and it took firefighters about 45 minutes for them to put the blaze out.

Trahan says as firefighters were trying to get the fire under control, Lafayette Police had to divert traffic off of Kaliste Saloom in the 900 block to South Beadle Street.

The business sustained heavy fire damage.

The fire is under investigation.
