A Lafayette man with a long rap sheet is now in even more trouble with the law.

Scott Police Chief Chad Leger says 28-year-old Tyler Healy was driving his motorcycle on Cameron Street earlier this week, allegedly committing several traffic violations. As the officer attempted to pull him off, he allegedly sped away, causing a brief pursuit.

Once Healy was taken in, he had several prior felony convictions and had three handguns in his possession.

Healy now sits in the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center where he was booked for Switched Plates, Passing within an Intersection, Driving Under Suspension, Aggravated Flight From an Officer, and Possession of Firearms by Persons Convicted of Certain Felonies.
