Louisiana State Police have reported the arrest of a man and woman from Lafayette being arrested for their roles in organizing a juvenile sex trafficking operation.

According to our news partners at KATC, 35-year-old Tara Guidry and 31-year-old Jenaris Brown were arrested following an investigation in Orleans Parish that began in 2015.

Warrants were issued in February for the two suspects after a juvenile victim was rescued after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children reported the child missing. The juvenile was later able to identify Guidry and Brown.

Officials say the two were operating a commercial sex enterprise.
