LSU's Mike The Tiger was sedated over the weekend and taken to Mary Bird Perkins - Our Lady of the Lake Cancer Center for treatment for a rare cancer.

KATC reports that Mike VI underwent a CAT scan and other tests, and that doctors developed devices to keep Mike in position for the precision radiotherapy that will treat the tumor on his face.

LSU's School of Veterinarian Medicine says Mike could live one or two months without treatment, but hopes that treatment will extend his lifespan up to two years.

The video above shows the outpouring of support Mike has received from other college mascots.
