Mother & Acquaintance Arrested In Abuse Of Eunice Woman

A mother accused of abusing her adult daughter, with the alleged help of her friend, is behind bars in Acadia Parish.

Sheriff K.P. Gibson says the incidents happened at a home on Perchville Road near Eunice. 57-year-old Sarah Montet and Brances Guillory, both of Eunice, have been charged with one count of Aggravated Battery after deputies say signs of physical abuse and bruising could be seen on the 35-year-old daughter of Montet.

“This investigation remains open as we work to determine how long the abuse has been occurring and to what level of abuse was applied. The victim remains with other family members at this time,” says Sheriff Gibson.
