New Iberia Man Robbed While Walking Down Hopkins Street

The Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office continues to investigate after a man walking down Hopkins Street this morning was robbed.

Major Ryan Turner says the 75-year-old victim was approached from behind at around 12:37 a.m. by a black male wearing dark clothing.

The victim also told police the suspect pushed him to the ground and took the money out of his pockets.

Police are asking anyone with information about the crime to call the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office at 337-369-3711.
