Attorney General Buddy Caldwell says 41 year old Katrina Tyler of New Orleans was arrested this week and charged with Medicaid fraud. According to investigators with the Attorney General's Medicaid Fraud Unit, Tyler billed Medicaid 25 times for services not rendered and was paid $2,122. Tyler was working as a direct care service worker, hired by a Medicaid provider to care for physically handicapped or elderly Medicaid recipients. Tyler faces up to five years in prison and up $20,000 in fines if convicted.
