New Superintendent Named In Iberia Parish
They're giving the job to one of their own.
Carey Laviolette has worked in Iberia Parish Schools for 39 years and is currently the district's assistant superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction. During her tenure, she has also worked as a teacher, guidance counselor, drug prevention coordinator and assistant principal, according to our news partners at KATC.
Laviolette beat out a field of candidates that included former Lafayette Parish Schools Superintendent Dr. Pat Cooper.
