Oilfield Equipment Moving Through Lafayette

On Tuesday, August 20, 2013 and on Wednesday, August 21, 2013, oilfield equipment will be transported south on Ambassador Caffery beginning at its interchange with I-10.

'Law enforcement is escorting an oversized load from Carencro through Lafayette to the Vermilion River today. It will travel down the I-49 South Frontage Road to HWY 182 South to Renaud Drive to Ambassador Caffery to Johnston Street. The convoy will then make its way onto E. Broussard Road and end up at the Vermilion River. It was expected to leave about 9AM and the trip may take 5-6 hours. Drivers along the route should expect traffic delays and may want to plan an alternate route.'
