Our Lady of Fatima School in Lafayette has educated generations of students, and at the same time has taught pride in our Cajun history as well. For the past 25 years, the Physical Education Department at Fatima has used cajun dancing as part of their lessons. The pinnacle of these teachings is when the 4th grade class gets a chance to show off their skills, and invite their parents and grandparents to dance with them at a mini fais do do. Now that's what we call cuttin' a rug, sha! And thank you to the PE teachers, and other staff members at Fatima who know the importance of passing along treasured school traditions. Allons!
