UPDATE: Two-year-old Ryan Trosclair has been found safe and sound.

Breaux Bridge Police Chief Rollie Cantu said the toddler was brought to the police precinct by the man who had the child dropped off to him.

Cantu said the man whose Trosclair's mother left her with contacted police after he saw some media reports that the girl was missing.

According to Cantu, the mother dropped off the girl and did not return after hours passing. She was reportedly arrested in another parish while her daughter was at the man's home.

As of 1:30 p.m. Monday, the man was en route to the BBPD precinct to return the child.

The child's mother was arrested in another parish, Cantu said. He did not elaborate on what charges she may face.
