The New Orleans Saints are bringing back a familiar face.

The team re-signed veteran cornerback Sterling Moore on Thursday.

Moore will take the roster spot of safety Kenny Vaccaro, who was placed on injured reserve on Thursday.

The 27-year old Moore appeared in 13 games for the Saints last season, including 12 as a starter, totaling 56 tackles and two interceptions.

The 5-foot-10, 202-pound Moore played in five games for the Saints this season, mainly on special teams.

A native of Antioch, California, Moore played his college football at SMU, before playing for 5 different NFL teams.

Over parts of 7 NFL seasons, Moore has compiled 181 tackles and 6 interceptions.
