The Seattle Times got a quick lesson in geography after posting a "map" of Hurricane Harvey's projected path.

The projected path was posted last week as the storm approached the Texas Gulf Coast, but Twitter users quickly pointed out that something seemed a bit off.

This isn't the first time Mississippi has been overlooked. You may remember back in 2012 when the Weather Channel caused quite the fracas when they referred to Mississippi as a "land mass between New Orleans and Mobile."

A Facebook page that was created in that wake of that coverage during Hurricane Isaac has over 51,000 followers who definitely didn't hesitate to let them know about the Seattle Times mishap.

The Seattle Times did acknowledge their mishap, apologizing to their friends in Mississippi and Alabama.

And who said you couldn't get your education on social media?
