Seven Arrested In Friday Night Mall Brawl

The Lafayette Police Department arrested seven suspects in a brawl at the Mall of Acadiana Friday evening.

According to Lafayette Police  spokesperson Nicole Benoit, authorities responded to the disturbance that began in the commons area. Three security guards, already on the scene, approached the seven suspects when a fight ensued.

All of the suspects, which included two juveniles, were arrested and charged with simple battery. The brawlers, who are all reported as living in Lafayette, are listed below.

• 18-year-old Rashaad Dean
• 20-year-old Devin Lawrence
• 21-year-old Leo Prejean
• 20-year-old Rontraylon Perry
• 2 anonymous juveniles
