Shooting Leaves Lafayette Man Dead

Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Deputies reported to the scene at the 200 block of Marigny Circle at about 9:30 Friday evening.  When they arrived, they found 43-year-old Ray Ryan of Lafayette had been shot.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deputies have yet to find a motive in the case, but are following up on leads as the investigation continues. They are asking that anyone that was in the area at the time of the shooting and heard or saw anything to let them know.  Any information on the case can be reported to the Lafayette Crime Stoppers TIPS line at 232-8477 (TIPS).
