Suspect Arrested In Early Morning New Iberia Shooting (UPDATED)

UPDATE: 29-year-old Joshua P. Raved of New Iberia is being booked into the Iberia Parish Jail on 1 count of Attempted 2nd Degree Murder for the early morning shooting.

Iberia Parish Sheriff's detectives say they are questioning a person of interest in reference to a shooting that happened in the 100 block of Ambassador W. Lemelle this morning.

Deputies got the scene to find a 27-year-old man had been shot in the head and torso.

This man was laying in the roadway right by a house.

Detectives think the victim and someone else were having some type of argument before shots rang out at around 4 o'clcok this morning.

The victim was stablizied in New Iberia then transferred to a Lafayette hospital where he is said to he in serious condition.
