The following is a list of the people who were arrested by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office for May 4, 2016:

Christopher Singleton, Sr., 40, 314 Veterans Boulevard, Patterson, LA was arrested on May 3, 2016 at 1:45 pm on a warrant for 4 counts (felony) molestation of a juvenile. On April 25, 2016, a detective with the Criminal Investigation Division began a joint investigation with detectives from the Morgan City Police Department into a complaint of molestation. Forensic interviews were conducted at Hearts of Hope Children's Advocacy Center where the detective found evidence that Singleton engaged in sexual intercourse with a 14 year old female victim multiple times. The sexual abuse occurred at 4 different locations in the Morgan City and Patterson areas. The detective obtained a warrant for Singleton’s arrest for the crimes. Deputies and officers with the Morgan City Police Department located Singleton at a business on Front Street in Morgan City. Singleton was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Clarence Woods, 21, 504 Williams Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on May 3, 2016 at 5:02 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal damage to property. Woods turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville. No bail is set.

Shane W. Buckley, 38, 141720 Youngs Road, Morgan City, LA was arrested on May 3, 2016 at 5:22 pm on a warrant for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court. A correctional officer transported Buckley from the Plaquemines Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. Bail is set at $100,000.

Amanda R. Lake, 34, 111 Cypress Lane, Patterson, LA was arrested on May 4, 2016 at 3:59 am for disturbing the peace and resisting an officer. A deputy responded to a disturbance at a residence in Patterson. The deputy made contact with Lake and smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on her person. During the investigation, Lake repeatedly yelled obscenities at another female in the presence of small children despite being repeatedly asked by the deputy to stop. During Lake’s arrest, she attempted to free herself several times by pulling away from the deputy. Lake was transported to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $1,250.
