Already the speculation has started about who will replace Les Miles as LSU head football coach.

And, the names are those you'd expect.

But here's a guy who, if his team continues to win, will surely be on LSU's radar, even though fans might yawn.

P. J. Fleck is the head coach at Western Michigan University.  He has no ties to Louisiana, or to the South.  He's a Midwest guy. a MAC guy.  He went to Northern Illinois and coached there before getting the WMU job.

He's the youngest head coach in the FBS at 35.  And, he's in his fourth season as head coach.

This season, the Broncos are 4-0 and they've already beaten two Big Ten teams this year.  They aren't in the Top 25 this week, but they will be soon.

And, Fleck is different.  Check out this video in which he awards a scholarship to a walk-on.  These are always great moments...but you've never seen it quite done like this.

Fleck has already made his reputation as a top recruiter.  And, his players love him.

Tiger fans may not want to give him the time of day.  Here's hoping the administration is smarter than that.

He may not be the guy.  But he deserves a long look.
