Tropical Storm Florence Now A Hurricane

With all eyes currently on Hurricane Gordon as he heads towards the Gulf Coast, Tropical Storm Florence has just been up graded, making Florence the third hurricane of the 2018 season.

KATC reports Hurricane Florence is currently traveling in a general west to northwest motion across the eastern Atlantic Ocean with winds close to 75 mph.

The good news here is that according accuweather.com Hurricane Florence is currently traveling towards cooler water, and wind shear is expected to increase along the projected path. These factors should help to keep Hurricane Florence in check.
