Two Arrested In Drug Raid Of Home
Acadia Parish Narcotics Agents recently raided a home on Highway 97 in Evangeline, Louisiana, and they recovered weapons and drugs.
Agents confiscated the following:
- Heroin
- Methamphetamine
- Pharmaceuticals
- Marijuana
- Four weapons
The street value of the drugs was valued at around $18,000.
Acadia Parish Sheriff Wayne Melancon says the two people who live in the home, Brittany Legros and Jesus Ramirez-Velazquez, were not there at the time, but they were arrested later.
Narcotics agents later located and arrested LeGros, while they were assisted by Jennings Police in locating and arresting Ramirez-Velazquez.
- They have both been charged with the following:
- Possession with the intent to distribute heroin
- Possession of Methamphetamine
- Possession of Oxycodone
- Possession of lorazepam
- Possession of Alprazolam
- Possession of a dangerous weapon with controlled dangerous substances
Agents say that Legros will also face these charges related to her arrest in Egan:
- Possession of Heroin
- Possession of Methamphetamine
- Possession of Carisoprodol
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Legros had her bond set at $150,000, while Velazquez’s bond was set at $142,000.
