Eunice Police Chief Ronald Dies says Manuel Cuellar-Martinez and Jose Cuellar-Zamarron are now in jail after police say they found cocaine marijuana and items used to make drugs, as well as a gun with ammunition, in an apartment near the school.

Cuellar-Martinez has a Eunice address while Cuellar-Zamarron has a Basile address. Both are from Mexico. Chief Dies says after contacting the Louisiana Department of Immigration and Customs Enforcement they found that Martinez’s resident alien status had been expired for about five years.

Police say they seized over $56,000 in suspected drug proceeds. The Detectives also say they found records of currency transfers from the suspects to a location in Mexico. The currency transfers ranged from hundreds of dollars to thousands of dollars. The estimated street value on the drugs located was bout $2,000.
