There's is good news, and bad news, in terms of the weather forecast for Saturday, when the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns open up their 2018 college football season, playing host to the Grambling St. Tigers.

First the bad news; there's a good chance of rain in the afternoon, when a lot of Cajun fans will be tailgating.

Now the good news; most of that rain is expected to be out of the area prior to kickoff.

After partly cloudy skies on Saturday morning, the rain chances increase to 80% at the noon hour, before increasing to 80% during the 1-2 pm hours.

Rain chances stay pretty high, at 60%, from 3-6 pm, before dropping to 40% after kickoff, which is slated for 6 o'clock at Cajun Field.

Rain chances diminish greatly after 6:30 pm however, falling to only 10% for the remainder of the evening.

Due to the rain and cloud cover, a Saturday afternoon high is expected to peak at only 84 degrees.
