The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajun softball team made a slight climb in the latest ESPN.COM/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll, which was released on Tuesday.

Louisiana, who swept a three-game Sun Belt Conference series from Troy last weekend, before downing Southeastern Louisiana, 13-5, on Tuesday night, improving to 30-5 on the season, moved up one spot to #18 in this week’s poll.

UL, who has won 13-straight, returns to action on Friday, when they take on the Texas St. Bobcats in a doubleheader, representing the first two games of a three-game Sun Belt Conference series in San Marcos, Texas..

The Arizona Wildcats are the new top-ranked team in this week’s poll, followed by the Florida St. Seminoles, Florida Gators, Oregon Ducks, and the Texas A&M Aggies, to round out the top five.

Minnesota is number six this week, while Auburn, Oklahoma, UCLA, and Alabama complete the top ten.

LSU, Baylor, Washington, Tennessee, and James Madison occupy spots 11-15, with Utah, Michigan, Louisiana, Georgia, and BYU at 16-20.

Finally, at 21-25, Ohio St., Kentucky, California, Arizona St., and Ole Miss are ranked, respectively.
