Will Vance McAllister Run For US Senate?

The one-time incumbent, whose reelection bid in the 5th District Congressional race was severely hurt by a kissing scandal, is apparently considering a run for the US Senate in 2016.

Lapolitics.com reports Vance McAllister, also known as the Kissing Congressman, is considering the circumstances.

“If (Fleming) is the only one running, I would consider it,” McAllister said to Lapolitics writer Jeremy Alford. “I don’t have a problem being against another Republican if it’s the wrong kind of Republican running. We don’t need another Ted Cruz.”

Keep in mind, McAllister did not even make the runoff in the race for his now former seat last fall. But, would time heal wounds, in this case political wounds caused by McAllister's infidelity?
