Are Manners Still Important?

I stumbled on this list of 'Manners Every Good and Decent Person Should Know' and it got me wondering... does agreeing with this make a person old-fashioned? Is it just a Southern thing? Are manners still important? What rules are missing? I must admit, I've been negligent with #6.
