We get lots of requests throughout the year here at the radio station to pass along information regarding fundraisers, benefits, GoFund Me accounts and the like. We love helping anytime and in anyway we can.

Then every now and again we get an interesting but important request for help that we just can't pass up. So here goes.

André Leblanc tagged us in a Facebook post for some assistance in helping out a local girl with a rare disease. As a result of her condition, she requires her protein intake to be made from deer heart, liver and kidneys.

That's where you come in. We know there are lots and lots of hunters that listen to us. Would you do us (and her) a favor and the next time you're in the deer stand and harvest a deer, would you keep the aforementioned parts of the deer?

Donations can be dropped off at Cajun Market Meats at 2810 Chemin Metairie Parkway in Youngsville during normal business hours.

You can also arrange drop-off by contacting André LeBlanc through his Facebook page.

Out of privacy for the family, we are keeping the young girl's name private but rest assured that you would be helping out a wonderful family. So on behalf of the family, we say thank you in advance for the help.
