Big Boat Coming To The Big Easy
As vacation options go cruising is one of my favorite choices. Here's why. The hotel follows you from destination to destination and that means you only have to unpack once. You can do as much or as little as you choose to do during your travels. You have all the amenities of a five-star resort and your destination options are as wide as the open sea.
That's why I am pretty excited to hear that the Port of New Orleans will be welcoming its largest cruise ship ever. Beginning in November of 2018 you and I can book passage on the Norwegian Cruise Lines vessel the Norwegian Breakaway.
The ship will carry almost four thousand passengers on 10 and 11-day Caribbean cruises when it homeports in New Orleans beginning next year. The ship is the largest cruise ship by length and by guest accommodations to ever call the Port of New Orleans home.
The Norwegian Breakaway is currently sailing out of New York City and before coming to New Orleans will undergo a two to three-week freshening of its public spaces. That means it will look even nicer and newer when you and I climb aboard.
The Norwegian Cruiseliner won't be the only new vessel making New Orleans home in 2018. Royal Caribbean has already announced that beginning in 2018 they will begin serving the Port of New Orleans with the Vision of the Seas.
The bottom line is this. If you love cruise vacations you won't have too far to go to climb aboard some beautiful vessels that will take you to even more beautiful destinations.
