Big Changes For UHC’s Emergency Department

There is a newly renovated and expanded emergency department at University Hospital and Clinics on Bertrand Dr.

A big unveiling is set for this Thursday morning at 10 o'clock after major changes have been made at UHC's Emergency Department.

A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held to commerate the expansion which brings the total square footage from 2,450 to 10,383 for the emergency room area and department.

There will now be 20 private exam rooms up from three private exam rooms and six curtain bays.

The outside of the building even received a facelift.

The ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at the UHC Emergency Department which is on the first floor of the hospital.

University Hospital and Clinics is able to treat more than 47,000 patients each year.
