Cajuns, Learfield Announce Multi-Media Rights Agreement
The Louisiana Athletic Department announced today the awarding of their Multi-Media Rights to Learfield Communications, Inc. a company that serves nearly 120 collegiate partners, 26 of them in Power 5 Conferences.
"We are extremely excited to partner with Learfield, an industry leader representing inter-collegiate programs in the multi-media workplace," said Louisiana Athletic Director Dr. Bryan Maggard. "This partnership will allow us to continue to enhance our brand nationally while growing additional revenues that will help us support our overall objectives of graduating student-athletes and competing for and winning championships."
Sources say the ten year agreement guarantees the athletic department a minimum of $14 million dollars.

Learfield will have three full time positions in Lafayette: A General Manager, a business director coordinator and a fulfillment coordinator.
With its home base in Jefferson City, Missouri, Learfield began in 1972 at the Missouri Network a farm radio network heard over six stations in the state. Learfield got into the college multi media rights business with the University of Missouri as its first client. Learfield now has over 1,300 employees.
According to their website, Learfield serves six other Sun Belt institutions, including Little Rock, UTA, Georgia Southern, ULM, Texas State and Arkansas State.
